The Role

We are looking for a Head Cook with great capability of taking ownership, leading the kitchen team and ensuring that recipes and procedures are being followed in detail.

Our open kitchen busy stores require a dynamic personality and willingness to work in a highly demanding environment while maintaining quality, following OH&S procedures and providing the best customer service experience.

Key areas of responsibility

• Prepare all food according to standard and following procedures closely
• Lead the operation of the kitchen ensuring that menu items are prepared in accordance to procedures
• Ensure adequate food levels are maintained for smooth running of the restaurant
• Complete all checklists and reporting requirements
• Manage, train and coach kitchen staff
• Assist with inventory and financial management
• Occupational health and safety

Skills

• Experience in leading a demanding kitchen environment is essential and Qualifications such as Certificate III in Commercial Cookery will be regarded.
• It is vital to also have the following:
• Leadership experience and outstanding communications skills
• Passion for food, quality and customer service
• Sound knowledge of OH&S
• Great time management skills
• Capacity for following procedures and guaranteeing consistency
